Thousands of young tweeters interacted on the social networking site Twitter with the hashtag (#National_Dialogue_about_Youth), which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the day before yesterday.

Tweeters presented many proposals to empower and support young people in various sectors and fields, and 10 proposals emerged that were widely circulated yesterday, namely: creating the position of an executive director for youth in various government agencies, with the aim of supporting, encouraging and developing them, in accordance with the government’s strategy, and creating opportunities for young people in scientific development. Professional and career, launching a youth leadership laboratory at the state level, launching the Future Leaders Program in all government institutions, and subjecting new employees to a test to join the program. Tweeters suggested adding a study subject specialized in industry, graded in level, starting from the lower levels and ending with a project that is realistically applied to create an industrial generation, qualifying social workers to guide young people in ways that suit the future, and obliging government agencies to create a database for young people specialized in various fields. Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, confirmed that the Emirates Youth Council welcomes receiving suggestions and opinions from the nation’s youth, whether through letters or through its executive arms represented by the youth councils spread across the emirates of the country.

She added that thousands of young people from the Emirates responded positively and unparalleled to the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to hold a national dialogue on youth to focus on their ambitions, dreams and current and future aspirations, by holding a youth retreat next week. .

She added: “Just as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has accustomed us to placing all important issues that concern the citizen and serve the nation on the table of research and discussion, the issues of youth, listening to them and learning about their ambitions, hopes and dreams come to the forefront, because they constitute the most important national force for building the present and creating… The future, and because creating the best environment for them to be able to achieve these aspirations and ambitions is an essential pillar in the journey to the future.”

Al Mazrouei said that the hashtag (#National_Dialogue_about_Youth) witnessed wide and welcoming reactions, while the Emirates Youth Council receives thousands of messages every hour through various means and communication channels from Emirati youth throughout the country, in which they express their desire to participate in the dialogue.


Discussing ideas and proposals on youth empowerment

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University invited all students from various specializations and colleges at the university to join the members of the teaching and administrative staff, in an expanded meeting next Monday at the university building, to identify the most pressing issues that concern young people in the country, and to discuss ideas and proposals about ways to empower and qualify them in society.

The step comes in response to the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to launch a national dialogue to empower youth.

Dubai Youth Courts Council

Dubai Courts launched the “Dubai Youth Courts Council” within the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to be the executive arm in the emirate of the “Emirates Youth Council.”
