The Board of Directors of the International Federation of Falcon Sports and Racing approved the extension of its current term beyond the end of the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics, whether held or not, while adopting the federation’s vision for the 2024-2028 Olympic period.
This came during the Board of Directors meeting of the International Falcon Sports and Racing Federation, which was held yesterday in Dubai and was chaired by Rashid bin Markhan, Secretary-General of the Federation, along with all members of the Federation’s Board of Directors.
Rashid bin Markhan welcomed the attendees to the UAE, stressing the value of teamwork and partnership among members, which has resulted in successive achievements for falconry and its capabilities at the global level, and charted a clear path for this ancient sport that started from the Emirates to the world to grow and flourish in a sustainable manner and with steady steps.
In a speech addressed to the members, Rashid bin Markhan pointed out that the International Federation of Falcon Sports and Racing, thanks to the efforts of its Board of Directors, has become a model for institutional work at the international level, stressing its prominent role by contributing effectively and directly influencing the promotion of the international sports scene for a sport that has established its presence and doubled its successes in the recent period. .
During the Board of Directors of the International Federation for Falconry Sports and Racing, the attendees approved the axes of the Federation’s vision by granting member states the right to host the third edition of the International Federation Cup for Falconry Sports and Racing, which is scheduled to be held in December of next year 2025 in accordance with the standards and requirements that will be determined later.
