The Assistant Director General of Al Nahda National Schools, Adnan Abbas, stated that graduates of the country are given the opportunity to work as a trainee teacher for a year, after which, based on their evaluation and school follow-up report, they apply again for the position of a teacher, indicating that the position of a trainee teacher comes with a good monthly salary.

He explained that the requirement of two years of experience is adhered to for residents who hold university degrees from outside the country, as they are required to have a university qualification in education and a certificate in the specialty they will teach, in addition to two years of experience.

While the Department of Education and Knowledge confirmed on its official website, “Licensing and Qualifications Policy,” that until the procedures for obtaining a teacher’s license from the approved body are implemented, the school must employ faculty members who have obtained an appointment notice issued by the department, as it is stipulated that whoever occupies the position of a new teacher He must have – at least – a university degree in education (a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized and accredited educational institution, and all certificates and qualifications must be duly certified), and at least two years of teaching experience, or a university degree. in the subject area (Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized and accredited educational institution, a certificate in education or an accredited and recognized teacher’s license), and at least two years of experience in teaching the subject area, or a university degree in the subject area (Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent). The department indicated that priority in appointment is given to the teacher who has qualifications, such as the International English Language Test Certificate “IELTS Academy” or its equivalent, with a rating of no less than 6 for non-English speaking teachers, who completed their studies in a language other than English for schools that offer their subjects. In English, it is preferable to be proficient in Arabic and English or any other languages ​​according to the school’s need.

The department confirmed that it aims through these conditions to ensure that the employees in the school (the principal, his assistant, and members of the administrative, teaching, and technical bodies) achieve the minimum qualifications and requirements set for each job, and to provide clear mechanisms for all applicants for work in the field of education or in other jobs in the school.


Conditions for appointing a school principal

The Department of Education and Knowledge stipulated that, in order to appoint the school principal or his deputy, he must have a university degree in education (a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized and accredited educational institution), and at least five years of experience in the field of teaching, including experience in the field of school administration, or a degree. University degree in the field of school administration and at least four years of experience in school administration, or an accredited and recognized certificate in the field of school leadership, and six years of experience in the field of teaching, including experience in the field of school administration.
