Emaar Properties announced today the completion of a comprehensive lighting upgrade for the facade of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, using a dynamic system that combines the latest technologies with the aesthetics of the tower’s architectural design.
The new lighting is scheduled to be unveiled during the UAE’s Federation Day celebrations on the first of next December, before the celebration of the fifteenth anniversary of the opening of Burj Khalifa on January 4, 2025.
The new system transforms the facade of Burj Khalifa into a light panel, enhancing the visitors’ experience and emphasizing Dubai’s position as a global capital of innovation and design excellence.
The implementation of the project required six months of experiments to ensure smoothness and flow in integrating the new system into the architectural structure of the tower, relying on “RGBW” technology, which replaces fixed lights with controllable lighting units. The new system provides complex visual effects that suit festive and daily occasions without compromising With the distinctive elegance of the tower.
