Former Al-Nasr player and captain Adel Taarabt published his first statement following the club’s board of directors’ decision to terminate his contract by mutual consent.
Taarabt said in a post on his official account on the social networking site “Instagram”: “I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the management of Al-Nasr Club, to my fellow players, to the technical and administrative staff, and to all the workers in the large Al-Nasr family for the support and encouragement that I received during the last period.”
He added: “Stubborn Blue fans… I was happy and honored to represent the dean of Emirati football during two and a half seasons, during which I, as a team captain, tried to do my best to make you happy and achieve your aspirations and hopes. I am very grateful for your love, support and encouragement for me. I will carry within me all those beautiful memories with you, with you.” With you, victory will return to the platforms again.”
