The “hand” of Shabab Al-Ahly raises the “Victory” flag


Shabab Al-Ahly achieved a broad victory over its guest Al-Nasr by a margin of 10 goals (34-24), the day before yesterday, at the opening of the third round of the Emirates Handball Cup competition, which also witnessed the victory of Dibba Al-Hisn over its guest Al-Wahda (27-19).

Shabab Al-Ahly temporarily rose to the top of the general standings with six points, while Al-Nasr maintained its fourth place despite the loss, with five points.

The victory gave the Dibba Al-Hisn team an advance to fifth place with four points, one point ahead of Al-Wahda, while Al-Wasl – which was rested in this round – fell to seventh and last place with two points.

Shabab Al-Ahly struggled to finish the first half ahead of Al-Nasr by three goals with a score of (16-13), before the “Knights of the Hand” were able to expand the difference during the course of the second half, and decided the match with a score of (34-24).

Dibba Al-Hisn knew how to achieve its broad victory over Al-Wahda, after a first half that the hosts finished with a four-goal difference and a score of (13-9), before the Dibba Al-Hisn players were able to expand the difference during the course of the second half, and snatch the victory by (27-19).
