His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, arrived in the city of Kazan to participate in the summit of leaders of the BRICS countries, which is hosted by the Russian Federation during the period from 22 to 24 October 2024.
This is the UAE’s first participation in the summit as a member of the BRICS group.
The summit will be held this year under the slogan “Multilateralism for just global development and security,” with the participation of leaders of a number of the group’s countries and their heads of government, as well as representatives of the invited countries.
The delegation accompanying His Highness the President during the visit includes His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al. Nahyan, Special Affairs Advisor in the Presidential Office, and a number of ministers and senior officials.
