The high rate of inflation in Italy increased to 2%


The annual inflation rate in Italy increased to 2% last March, compared to 1.6% during February, according to the initial data issued by the National Statistical Institute «Estat».

The institute stated that this rise is mainly attributed to the high prices of non -organized energy products, in addition to tobacco, unscrupulous foods, communication services, entertainment services, and durable goods.

He pointed out that the consumer price index increased by 0.4% on a monthly basis, while the food price index, home commodities, and home and personal care products increased by 2.1% compared to March 2024.
