The Jordanian Al -Wehdat team player, Amer Jamous, sent his apology to his team’s fans, after the AFC Champions League farewell from the round of 16, at the hands of the youth of Al -Ahly, in the exciting return match that was held, last Wednesday, at Rashid Stadium in Dubai, and his team lost it 3-4, which came after losing the first leg in the capital, Amman, with a score of zero -2.
The units were close to achieving a surprise in the return match, after leading to the 80th minute with a score of 3-1, but the youth of Al-Ahly turned the result, and scored three goals in five minutes, to come out as a winner and qualify for the quarter-finals.
Amer Jamous, who made the first goal for his team, and scored by Senegalese striker Joy, told «Emirates Today»: “We faced a great team, which is Al -Ahly’s youth, who is one of the teams that are nominated to win the title, we bless him to win and ascend, but we presented a big match, and we were able to return and score Three goals, but small details in front of a big team like Al -Ahly youth cannot happen, and caused the match to lose.
He added: “We apologize to the fans of the units who came to the match, and in Jordan, we presented what we have, and we showed the team’s personality in the match, and returning with the result after the delay confirms that we have the ability to compete in the future, and are able to return next season, and compete for the title.”
And on the team’s influence on the first leg, the Al -Wehdat team star said: “Certainly, the team was affected by the loss in the first leg with two goals, and also the exit late with a goal in the first half of the return match, they are all pressures, but three goals are scored in less than half an hour, from a team of youth size Al -Ahly confirms that the team has the ability to win and compete … small details and simple mistakes we lost the match, but we are able to return. ”
Amer Jamous:
. Al -Ahly youth is one of the candidates to win the Asian title.
