The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment is investigating a “beef pepperoni” contamination incident and directs the recall of the product


The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in the United Arab Emirates announced that it is following up on the incident of contamination of the “beef pepperoni” product with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria, and investigating it in cooperation with all local regulatory authorities in the country and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

According to the “Emirates News” account on the “X” platform, which reported the news, coordination is being made with the producing company to precautionally withdraw the product in question from the UAE market, until laboratory examinations are completed and details of the incident are verified.
