The Ministry of Interior revealed the launch of a unified smart platform linking it with the federal and local judicial authorities, and includes 113 services, 25 of which are informational and 88 procedural, and shortened the total completion time by more than 94.95%.
She stated that the smart platform simplified the procedures and merged similar ones, eliminated the use of required paper documents by 100%, and eliminated costs for the customer by 100%, which is what he incurs through transportation expenses to complete transactions.
It also reduced the number of entities concerned with completing transactions by 87.5%, reduced the requirements for completing transactions by 91.01%, reduced the cost of completing transactions for the concerned authorities by 95.65%, zeroed out carbon emissions, and raised levels of efficiency, accuracy and speed.
The Ministry stated in a report published on its website that it launched the smart integration project for joint federal and local police and judicial operations, as part of its initiatives to translate the government’s directions to adopt highly efficient business models, centered on zeroing out bureaucracy in transactions, and providing a future generation of integrated proactive services.
The Ministry indicated that the project was able to enhance the package of services and operations through technical linkage between the unified criminal systems platform and the judicial authorities in the country with the aim of reducing the customer’s journey, enhancing and facilitating government procedures, increasing satisfaction, reducing costs, and developing and improving information and communication technology capabilities through linking. Smart between the joint parties.
The Ministry affirmed its keenness to achieve the vision and goals of the UAE government, and its endeavor to reduce and eliminate bureaucratic procedures, in order to provide police services that meet the needs of society and exceed the expectations of customers.
It explained that it succeeded in zeroing the procedures for 11 government services in the vehicle and driver licensing sector, in record time, in response to the “Zeroing Government Bureaucracy” program, which was launched by the UAE government, including the service of approving the electronic version of driver’s and ownership licenses, and canceling the obligation to print them.
The program seeks to simplify government procedures and eliminate unnecessary procedures.
The services that the Ministry was able to zero in its procedures include issuing a digital replacement plate for a lost or damaged one, including the driver’s license and ownership license in the “Apple Wallet,” activating the transfer of certificates digitally, changing ownership data via digital notifications, and exchanging licenses from other countries with ease. Obtaining a parking permit for people of determination automatically, issuing vehicle ownership directly from the car agency, simplifying vehicle transportation and toll services, abolishing the mandatory printing and delivery of driving and ownership licenses, adopting the electronic version, transferring vehicle ownership and writing it off digitally through one service, and automatically opening a traffic file for people.
