The Ministry of Health and Community Protection, in its representative office in Fujairah, organized an introductory workshop on the National Program for Donation and Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues “Hayat”, to enhance community members’ awareness of the importance of organ donation in giving patients hope for recovery and life, as part of the Ministry’s initiatives aimed at stimulating community participation in efforts. The workshop was held in the presence of the Director of the Ministry’s Representative Office in Fujairah, Dr. Muhammad Abdullah, with the participation of a number of officials and representatives of government agencies in the emirate, with the aim of increasing the numbers of those registered in the National Program for Donation and Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues “Hayat”, to save the lives of patients, which contributes to strengthening the status. The introductory workshop addressed the vital role of organ donation in saving the lives of organ failure patients who need organ transplantation. The Director of the National Center for Regulating Organ and Tissue Transplantation and Transplantation, Dr. Maria Gomez, gave a presentation on the Centre’s efforts, a detailed explanation of the procedures followed in organizing the organ transfer and transplantation process, and discussed the latest achievements of the “Hayat” program. In addition to listening to the success stories of some of the beneficiary patients.
