The Technical Committee of the National Olympic Committee held its meeting, the day before yesterday, headed by a member of the Board of Directors of the Olympic Committee, Nasser Al-Tamimi, to discuss and review ways to develop technical work with sports federations and increase the level of coordination between the two parties, in a way that brings the desired benefit to the level of the Olympic movement and its results in the country.
According to a press release, the committee discussed how to activate joint work with sports federations in a sustainable manner, and distribute the roles and tasks of members to follow up on various aspects, while forming internal teams from members of the technical committee, each of which is responsible for communicating with a specific group of federations, with the aim of promoting effective participation.
The Technical Committee has set January 30 as the date for sending the technical and financial plans of the sports federations for upcoming forums, with the start of the preparation stages for the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain on the first of next March, as well as preparations for the sixth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games hosted by Saudi Arabia during November of this year.
The Technical Committee also held a joint meeting with various sports federations at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee in Dubai, where a number of topics related to sports participation and events during the current year were discussed, most notably the Third Asian Youth Games hosted by Bahrain.
