The President appoints a Director General for “Islamic Affairs” and a CEO for “Securities”

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, issued a federal decree appointing Ahmed Rashid Saeed Al Neyadi as Director General of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, with the rank of Undersecretary.

Ahmed Al Neyadi held a number of leadership positions in various sectors, including the position of Executive Director of the Support Services Sector at the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, Director of the Tenders and Contracts Department at the Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities – Abu Dhabi, and Head of the Legal Affairs Department at the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi. Al Neyadi holds a master’s degree. in Law from the Dubai Police Academy, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sharia and Law from the UAE University in 2001.

Waleed Al Awadhi has more than 22 years of experience in the field of financial and banking services and legislation. He held the position of Chief Operating Officer at the Dubai Financial Services Authority, and Vice President of Retail Management at Emirates Islamic Bank, in addition to a number of leadership positions at Sama Dubai Development Company. Real Estate, the Emirates Telecommunications Corporation, and membership in a number of boards of directors and national committees at the state level. Walid Al-Awadhi graduated from the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Preparation Program in 2020.
