The Ras Al Khaimah Knowledge Department in the Ras Al Khaimah government launched the Golden Residency Programme, which aims to attract and retain the best teachers currently working in private schools in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
This program provides teachers, who have the appropriate professional qualifications, the opportunity to obtain long-term residency in the UAE, with their personal sponsorship.
This program was developed with the aim of attracting and retaining exceptional talent in the educational sector, including principals, deputy principals, department heads and teachers in schools in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Naqbi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Ras Al Khaimah Knowledge Department, said: “The program is an appreciation for the vital role that teachers play in improving the quality of education in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Through this initiative, we express our deep appreciation for the teachers’ valuable contributions, which are in line with the department’s vision.” “In developing a world-class educational system,” stressing the commitment to developing an educational environment that supports talent and innovation, which contributes to enhancing educational services and ensuring the continued success of students.
The Golden Residency Program targets two main categories of teachers working in private schools: the school principals category, which includes school principals, their deputies, and department heads, and the teachers category, which includes all qualified teachers currently working in private schools in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
The Ras Al Khaimah Knowledge Department, as the government agency responsible for the private education sector in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, will work to support and facilitate the application process to qualify for golden residency, based on specific criteria, including: working and residing for a period of no less than three years in Ras Al Khaimah, Obtaining an advanced academic degree, and demonstrating a positive impact on the performance of the school in which the teacher works. Teachers working in private schools in Ras Al Khaimah must submit a set of documents, including a letter of notification of their appointment, their academic qualifications, proof of residence and work in the emirate, in addition to evidence of their contributions to improving the performance of their schools.
After completing the documents, the department will review the application, then send confirmation of eligibility to teachers, so they can go to the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship to obtain golden residency.
