The Sheta Hatta Football Championship begins today with the participation of 8 teams

The “Hatta Hatta 2024” football championship, organized by “Hatta Adventures” in cooperation with the “Dubai Sports Council”, begins today in the Lim Lake area, and continues until next Sunday, with the participation of eight community teams from Hatta residents.

The football tournament comes within the framework of the various sporting activities included in the “Hatta Hatta” initiative, which is supervised by the Supreme Committee to Supervise the Development of the Hatta Region, and implemented by “Brand Dubai”, the creative arm of the Dubai Government Media Office, in cooperation with a number of government and private agencies.

A press statement stated that the tournament is held in a league system of two groups, where each team plays three matches and the first and second from each group qualify for the semi-finals. Each team consists of four players on the field, and the team includes three players and a goalkeeper in addition to two reserve players, and the presence of Only one club player on each team.

Teams consisting of only four players compete in matches lasting 20 minutes, 10 minutes per half. The tournament’s rules and concept are designed in a special way that encourages teams to score at crucial times, where shooting from beyond the middle of the field is considered a foul, and the other team is granted possession of the ball. Lifting the ball is also considered a violation requiring a verbal warning. In the event of repetition, the player is suspended for one and a half minutes. If the ball touches the side netting, the ball is considered out of play (out), and when the player is sent off He is excluded from the match, and the team is given a two-minute suspension period before allowing a substitute player to enter.

The tournament challenges players to display their best football skills on a small field. It is not similar to other football tournaments on small fields, but is distinguished by its own rules that make a big difference and allow the result to be changed in the final seconds of the matches.
