It provides a package of electronic services for lawyers and community members, so that it saves time and effort for the lawyer by submitting applications electronically and following them up through the system, which is an effective communication platform between the lawyer and the ministry. It helps facilitate the procedures for implementing the service by the relevant team in the ministry.

The system allows the public to register, obtain a personal account, and a control panel that enables them to submit requests, know their status, and communicate with the system. The public user can benefit from many services, including searching for a lawyer by grade and emirate, searching for a court, and filtering by emirate.

It also provides, through the “Online Consultant” service, a platform for communication between lawyers and the public to answer their legal inquiries around the clock. The lawyer registers for the service, the general user enters the system, and the user chooses the lawyer, based on his available information and experience, and communication takes place through the system between The lawyer and the user, and the lawyer answers the user’s legal inquiries.

Through the “My Legal Awnak” service, the system provides the possibility of providing legal services to those unable to pay, where the lawyer wishing to help registers in the service, the user fills out a legal application in Awnak, the user uploads all the case’s belongings and information, and the system chooses the appropriate lawyer. Upon the lawyer’s approval, all case information is sent to him, and the user requesting the service is informed of the name of the lawyer.

The system provides lawyer evaluation services, through two types of evaluation, namely the general evaluation by the public and the private evaluation by the judges. Any person who has an account in the system can evaluate the lawyer, and this evaluation affects the general evaluation of the lawyer. As for the evaluation specific to the judges, he can The system administrator sends an electronic questionnaire to the judge to evaluate the lawyer’s performance via email. The judge can respond to the questionnaire electronically through the system and express his opinion, which is added to the opinion of the rest of the judges. The system administrator can view these questionnaires, know the results of each of them, and obtain the judges’ comments about each lawyer.

The system provides many services to lawyers, as the lawyer can view his electronic card, which contains the registration number, date, lawyer classification, and contact information. He can also view all his data, through the personal file, and provides a smart control panel for the lawyer through which he can access all his data. Personal information, managing the electronic profile, downloading identification papers, accessing all submitted applications and knowing their status, responding to requirements from the Ministry, accessing electronic payment information, and accessing invitations to secondment and making decisions.

The system also provides a smart assistant for the lawyer to remind him to renew his registration before it expires, remind him of the need to download identification papers when they expire, respond to unfinished requests, assign dates, send notifications via e-mail and text messages, and send assignment requests in order of priority.

It also provides a package of electronic services for the lawyer, which are: To Whom It May Concern Certificate, renewing the registration of a lawyer, registering a lawyer before the Federal Supreme Court, registering a lawyer based on experience, adding a lawyer to the assignment register and assigning a lawyer in a case, transferring a practicing lawyer to a non-practicing lawyer, transferring a lawyer. The system also provides a service for assigning a lawyer to a case, enabling employees in prosecution offices to carry out assignment operations through an employee account through which the system is accessed, and the lawyer can view all the assignment cases and know the status of each one.

It has also been linked with the electronic payment portal of the Ministry of Finance, so that the lawyer can pay directly through the application using the e-Dirham card, or any type of credit card.

Linking with the happiness index

The Ministry of Justice confirmed that the “Smart Lawyer” system provides the basic building block for fully digitizing legal work, and establishes the possibility of linking with the rest of the legal authorities and courts, transparency of access to data, and ease of communication with the public. By linking all services with the Happiness Index of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, all lawyers can evaluate electronic services immediately after applying for them, and the results appear in the statistics of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers on customer satisfaction with the services provided, which ensures the transparency of the results.
