Dubai Courts announced a pioneering project in digital transformation, the “Smart Chamber,” which was launched by the Director of the Courts, Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, with the aim of developing judicial services and facilitating customers’ access to them, in line with the Dubai Courts’ mission to achieve timely justice, and in line with the vision of the government. Dubai aims to provide innovative services that enhance the emirate’s position as a global platform for leadership and innovation.
Executive Director of the Claims Management Sector at Dubai Courts, Mohammed Al Obaidli, said that the smart room project aims to provide a main center linking customers and the branches of the courts, including the main building, the Personal Status and Estates Court, the Labor Court and the Execution Court, in addition to service centers, to provide an experiential experience. Smooth and fast for customers, based on smart technologies that ensure reducing the time and effort spent on judicial procedures.
He added that the “smart room” has an innovative design, with smart glass walls that ensure privacy, sound insulation, and a suitable ventilation system, with motion sensors to enhance the comfort and safety of users. The room also contains the latest devices, including tablet computers, an identity reader, an electronic payment system, and screens. Display, employee pagers, and a QR code allow users to easily scan and share documents.
He pointed out that the system is based on advanced technologies that include simultaneous translation, an interactive user interface, visual communication, digital payment, and smart signature, taking into account the highest standards of information security to ensure the protection of customer data and the preservation of privacy.
He explained that Dubai Courts is working to enhance the efficiency of the system through an integrated control panel, which allows managing and monitoring users’ activity and measuring their level of immediate happiness and satisfaction with the services provided. It also allows storing and recording video conversations securely to ensure quality performance and use them in training and improving operations.
He pointed out that the smart room is currently available in the main building of the Dubai Courts, with future plans to expand its use to include the buildings of the Personal Status and Estates Court, the Labor Court and the Execution Court, with the aim of enhancing the customer experience and ensuring more advanced and flexible services. Al-Obaidli stressed that the project reflects the Dubai Courts’ commitment to providing Integrated and innovative services that enhance customer experience, reduce bureaucracy, and contribute to achieving efficiency and transparency. He pointed out that the smart room is a true reflection of the Dubai Courts’ vision of pioneering innovation and providing proactive services that enhance confidence.
