The Sustainable Packaging Association in the Emirates elects a new board of directors


The UAE Ring Packaging Association (CPA) has announced the election of its new board of directors for the next two years, which enhances its role as a major player to develop innovative solutions for sustainable packaging and a reliable partner in drawing the features of the Agenda of the Ring Economy in the country. The new board of directors was elected during its public association, which was held at the headquarters of Dubai rooms.

With the importance of sustainability for the UAE’s economic vision, the association continues its commitment to create a bridge between the private sector and policy makers, in order to ensure the consensus of innovation in the field of packaging with the national sustainability goals, including the circular economy of the UAE 2031 and its commitment to achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

The new board of directors consists of both Muhammad Ali Al -Dabaa – Procter and Jambal – Chairman of the Council, Marcelo Piva – Tasabak – Vice President, Emile Bisha – Mondeels – Secretary of the Fund, Leticia Magnit – Majid Al Futtaim – Member, Berra Sarma – Unilever – Member, Theophilis Facebook – Food Group – Member, Shahira Al -Qadi – Pepscu – Member By choosing Sarah Jackson – Green Issex – General Secretary.

In this regard, Mohamed Ali Al -Dabaa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sustainable Packaging Association in the United Arab Emirates, said: “The Sustainable Packaging Association is a platform for actual work. Through our new leadership, we will double our efforts to enhance strategic partnerships, work to develop progressive policies, and enhance cooperation across various sectors to accelerate the transformation into a real sustainable sustainable packaging system.”

In order to know the importance of collective efforts to achieve sustainable change, the association plays a pivotal role in collecting and communicating with all concerned groups such as companies and the government sector and those interested in the environment. By uniting the visions of the private sector, and providing recommendations and proposals for public policies in this field, and the initiatives of exchanging knowledge, the association supports the development of organizational frameworks that enable the creation of sustainable packaging solutions.

Al -Dabaa pointed out that the new board of directors of the association will focus on enhancing the dialogue between the public and private sector, with the aim of supporting the UAE’s move towards a circular economy and expanding partnerships to accelerate the application of sustainable packaging solutions, and enabling companies to adopt best practices by providing and sharing applied and effective models.

With the UAE continuing to consolidate its pivotal role in the field of sustainability, the Sustainable Packaging Association confirms its willingness to support the private sector and policy makers to create an incubator environment that contributes to the process of developing sustainable packaging into a tangible reality.
