The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation reveals the largest agenda of local and international championships

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation revealed its championship agenda for the new season 2025, which includes organizing and hosting 36 jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts championships at the local and international levels, most notably the seventeenth edition of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship, and hosting the sixth edition of the World Mixed Martial Arts Championship for Juniors. In addition to the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu Championship, an increase of 70% compared to the number of tournaments last season.
The jiu-jitsu calendar includes organizing prominent local tournaments such as the President’s Cup, the Vice President’s Cup, the Mother of the Nation Cup, and the second edition of the Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship for the “suit” and “without suit” categories.
The new season will witness 8 rounds of the Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship, 5 of which are designated for the suit category and 3 for the non-suit category, which will be held during the months of January, February, April, May, June, July, September, and October, in continuation of the great success of the first edition.
According to the statement issued today by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, in terms of the most prominent local competitions, the His Highness the President of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Cup will be held this year in March, while the His Highness the Vice President of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Cup will start in August, and the Mother of the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Cup will be held in March. These are major local tournaments in which participation is limited to local clubs and academies.
The new season’s agenda is scheduled to witness the organization of a number of distinguished Ramadan tournaments, most notably the jiu-jitsu competitions within the Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which brings together a number of diverse sports under its umbrella, making it an exceptional addition to supporting the development of the sport and consolidating its noble values.
The agenda also includes jiu-jitsu competitions in the Nad Al Sheba Sports Championship next March, in addition to jiu-jitsu competitions in a Ramadan tournament in Al-Ai.
The Abu Dhabi Association of Jiu-Jitsu Professionals (AJP) tournaments are of great importance to professionals from all over the world, as players participate to collect points and advance the association’s annual international classification.
The most prominent of these tournaments are the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association National Championship – Dubai, the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association National Championship (Abu Dhabi), the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association National Championship – Round 2 in June, the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association National Championship (Abu Dhabi), and the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association National Championship. The tournament rounds are held in various cities of the world, and constitute a unique opportunity for competition between the champions of different continents. The Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship (ADXC) is one of the most prominent global events in the field of combat sports, as it brings together the elite athletes in jiu-jitsu and grappling to compete in an exciting atmosphere inside the cage.
The 2025 championship agenda includes a series of qualifiers and main events starting with the ADXC qualifiers in February, May and November, which aim to produce elite athletes to participate in the final competitions.
Enthusiasm reaches its peak with the ADXC Abu Dhabi Championship in October, followed by the ADXC Al Ain Championship in December, which witnesses enthusiastic competition between the best players for titles and prizes.
The Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship, in its seventeenth edition, is the most prominent event ever on the global jiu-jitsu agenda, as it brings together the elite champions of the game from various continents in an exceptional confrontation hosted by the capital, Abu Dhabi.
The tournament is expected to witness the participation of more than 10,000 male and female players from all over the world, confirming its position as the most important competitive platform on the international scene.
This year’s edition continues the success achieved by previous editions, consolidating Abu Dhabi’s position as the global capital of Jiu-Jitsu.
The seventeenth edition of the tournament is scheduled to be held next November.
Abu Dhabi will continue its global leadership in hosting major sporting events by organizing the sixth edition of the World Junior Mixed Martial Arts Championship for the fourth year in a row.
This tournament is considered one of the most prominent international forums that shed light on emerging talents in mixed martial arts sports, as it attracts participants from all over the world.
The federation’s agenda also includes a series of mixed martial arts tournaments for juniors in January, February, April, May, and December, with the participation of the most prominent stars and champions on the local scene.
His Excellency Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice President of the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation, said that the agenda of the new season embodies the federation’s ambitious vision to consolidate the country’s leadership in the sports of jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts at all levels, noting that the country has achieved historic achievements over the past years, thanks to the support of the wise leadership and the well-thought-out strategy to develop Sports, discovering talent and creating champions.
He added that the new season is characterized by a great diversity of tournaments targeting all age groups, which enhances the opportunities for strong interaction and sustainable development, pointing out that the season’s agenda and the activities and tournaments it includes have been planned in accordance with the best practices followed in this framework, to ensure the completion of the process of achievements and attract the best. International talent, and consolidating Abu Dhabi’s position as a global capital for jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts.
