The UAE welcomed the success of the mediation carried out by the sister Sultanate of Oman to release the 25-person crew of the Galaxy Leader ship detained off the Yemeni coast.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs appreciated the efforts made by the Sultanate of Oman to facilitate the resolution of this humanitarian issue and the release of the crew of the ship that has been detained for more than a year.
The Ministry expressed its hope that this step would contribute to enhancing security in the region, especially in light of the importance of the Red Sea region as a major waterway for international trade, which contributes to enhancing trade movement and supply lines, and stability in the region and the world.
