The University of Dubai cooperates with Chinese universities to develop artificial intelligence technology

The University of Dubai, with a number of prestigious Chinese universities, discussed ways to cooperate in advanced research in the fields of technology, artificial intelligence, electronic chip technology, robotics and micro-electronic microscopes.

This came during the visit of a delegation from the University of Dubai, headed by the university’s president, Dr. Issa Al Bastaki, to a group of Chinese universities, including the Chinese People’s University, Ningxia University, the Beijing Institute of Technology, Tianjin University of Technology, and Tianjin University of Science and Technology. During the visit, the University of Dubai delegation was briefed on the areas of scientific research in those universities, the academic programs they offer, their advanced laboratories and their capabilities, and discussed ways to implement programs for the exchange of students and faculty members.

During the visit, the University of Dubai signed an agreement for scientific cooperation with Ningxia University, in addition to the current cooperation between them, through the Confucius Institute in the fields of teaching and student exchange. Ways of activating the memorandum of understanding that had previously been signed with the Beijing Institute of Technology were also discussed, which stipulated cooperation and conducting Exchange of scientific research and exchange of students.

The University of Dubai delegation visited the headquarters of the international Confucius Institutes for teaching Chinese language and culture to non-native speakers, which number 1,225 centers around the world. The University of Dubai includes a distinguished center for the Confucius Institute, which is considered one of the best institute centers in the Arab region, and attracts more than 200 male and female students.
