Today, the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club is organizing the Yas Race for 22-foot sailboats, with the participation of 60 sailors and 300 sailors and sailors on board, as part of the first round of the new season of traditional marine races. The race begins at 2:30 pm from Pearl Island, a distance of seven nautical miles towards the finish line in front of the flagpole on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, where the bearing crews that finish in the first three places will be crowned. The organizing committee allocated an amount of 549 thousand dirhams as prizes for the first and those in advanced positions.
The 22-foot category races witness a large turnout of participants, and are intended for young sailors and youth. These races are characterized by great enthusiasm for sailors to demonstrate their abilities and talents in order to hone them early, especially those who have great ambitions to move to the larger category races, all the way to the 60-foot category, which is the highest. The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club said that the club team in charge of organizing the race has completed all arrangements to provide logistical and technical support to the participants, as the bearings are received at the starting point to conduct a technical inspection, and to ensure their compliance with the regulations and the race law.
