Watching and canceling tourism reservations to Türkiye


Tourism and travel agencies in the local market said that they have recorded the cancellation of tourist reservations to Türkiye for the upcoming Eid Al -Fitr holiday, with a state of anticipation of reservations that are still in place, due to the recent events in Türkiye.

She told «Emirates Today» that travel dates were “deported” to the post -Eid Al -Fitr period for the same destination for some reservations, while others were transferred to alternative tourist destinations in the countries of the region, as well as relatively close destinations in eastern Europe and the South Caucasus region.

In detail, the CEO of “Al -Rayes Travel Company – Al -Rayes Group”, Mohamed Jassim Al -Rayes said: “We registered a cancellation of some tourist reservations to Turkey.

Al -Rayes added to «Emirates Today»: “Most of the canceled reservations were related to the Eid al -Fitr holiday at the end of this March and the beginning of next April,” noting that “Turkey is one of the tourist destinations that citizens and residents intend during their holidays.”

For his part, Badr Al -Ahly, CEO of Dubai World Travel Company, said: “There were cases of cancellation of tourist reservations to Turkey in the past two days.

He added, “With regard to canceled reservations, they were transferred to other tourist destinations in the countries of the region, as well as relatively close destinations in eastern Europe and the South Caucasus region.”

In a related context, the CEO of the Dubai Link Group, Dr. Haitham Al -Hajj Ali, said: “There is a case of anticipation of the reservations that existing to Turkey,” noting that the dealers who were in the process of confirming their reservations, in the case of inheritance and anticipation, at a time when some people have traveling.

Al -Hajj Ali stated that «the demand for travel during the Eid al -Fitr holiday is at large levels, with the state’s residents going to travel, whether for the purpose of visiting family and relatives in the countries of the region, or to spend holidays on tourist destinations in Europe and Asia.

In addition, the general manager of Al -Awadi Travel Company, Amin Al -Awadi, said: “Until now there are no cancellation of tourist reservations regarding the company, but we receive several inquiries for the existing reservations, or for customers who want to reserve tourism holidays in this destination, or other alternative destinations,” expecting that the movement of reservations will become more clear in the next few days.

He added, “The Eid Al -Fitr holiday is witnessing an increase in the demand for tourist reservations to various destinations,” noting that the Eid al -Fitr holiday with the school spring vacation coincided with the demand to raise the demand to large levels.

Al -Awadi advised the dealers and travelers to verify the latest developments related to travel to any destination around the world.
