Sharjah regained its winning streak and achieved a well-deserved victory outside its bases at the expense of Baniyas in Al Shamkha, 4-1, today, Thursday, at the opening of the seventh stage of the ADNOC Professional League.
Brazilian Guilherme Pirro opened the scoring for Sharjah, following up on Caio Lucas’ ball, which he put over goalkeeper Fahd Al Dhanhani, and completed it into the goal with a score of 12.
“Al-Samawi” succeeded in equalizing thanks to Swedish defender, Mats Gohan, who followed up on a corner kick carried out by his teammate, Lazar Markovic (22), to pounce on it and turn it into the net.
Luan Pereira restored the lead again for Sharjah through a penalty kick that he won and executed successfully in the goal, “43”.
In the second half, Sharjah continued its advantage in terms of the score, as substitute Tyrone Conrad was able to increase the visitors’ lead by following up on Shaheen Abdel Rahman’s header, and snatching it from goalkeeper Fahd Al Dhanhani, scoring his first goal in the King’s jersey “81”.
David Petrovic concluded the visiting team’s goals with a quick counter-attack that he launched from midfield, until he reached the 18th area and shot into the net “90+1.”
Thus, Sharjah regained the top spot in the competition table “temporarily” after raising its score to 18 points, while Baniyas’ score remained at seven points.
