Today, the 17th edition of the Zayed Charity Race in the United States of America begins, which is being held for the first time in Miami, Florida, and its proceeds are directed to the National Kidney Foundation in Florida.
Regatta Park hosts the race, which is held for a distance of 5 km for all participating groups, while the streets of Miami are decorated with billboards promoting the charity race, which was launched in Abu Dhabi in 2001, and then moved to the United States of America in 2005, to be held every year in New York, and its proceeds are directed to Treatment and research of kidney failure, and then he moved to Egypt in 2014, to contribute to supporting hospitals that treat various diseases in a number of Egyptian governorates.
During his meeting with the Mayor of Miami, Francis Soares, Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Zayed Charity Race, was briefed on the race’s charitable journey and its efforts to combat kidney failure in the United States since 2005, in cooperation with the National Kidney Foundation and research centers specialized in Developing methods to confront it and treat it.
Al Kaabi said that the UAE received a letter from the relevant authorities in the United States of America, stating that the race is the largest contributor to the treatment and research of kidney failure, thanking and appreciating the UAE Embassy in Washington for its support of the Supreme Organizing Committee so that the initiative achieves its noble goals.
