The UAE Careers Fair 2024 provides a platform that enables Emirati youth to enter the job market, build professional relationships, enhance their skills, and explore opportunities by meeting employers, in addition to interactive workshops and seminars, inspiring presentations, competitions, and other events held during the exhibition.
“Vision Careers UAE 2024 is a significant step towards a more dynamic and inclusive job market in the UAE, bringing together employers and ambitious Emiratis in a place that fosters growth, innovation and opportunity,” said Asma Al Sharif, Assistant Vice President, Sustainable Development and Exhibition Management, Dubai World Trade Centre. “Our goal is to empower ambitious young Emiratis with the knowledge and skills they need for their future careers, and provide insights into the many career paths available to them, helping them choose distinctive career paths that keep pace with the modern job market that demands more skills and qualifications.”
Commenting on the participation in the exhibition, Aisha Al Hammadi, Director of the Human Resources Department at Dubai Municipality, said: “Dubai Municipality’s participation in the exhibition is a major supporter of its approach to attracting and engaging Emirati youth, encouraging them to start their professional careers, supporting them by providing them with opportunities for professional and career development, and equipping them with the future skills necessary to deal flexibly with the labor market and its requirements.”
“We always aim to provide our teams in Dubai Municipality with young Emirati cadres equipped with active cognitive and practical skills in the fields and specializations that support the knowledge economy and advanced technology. We are also keen to develop a sustainable, integrated and attractive work environment for Emirati cadres and minds, and we devote all our efforts to finding channels that enable them to continuously develop and enhance their capabilities through integrated, pioneering and innovative programs for training, qualification and early preparation, based on the needs of the labor market and future employment trends,” she added.
The Dubai World Trade Centre statement pointed out that the objectives of employing citizens in the private sector include working to implement national initiatives aimed at supporting citizens in the private sector and raising their global competitiveness, and providing this sector with Emirati competencies, by combining the efforts of all relevant authorities in the local, federal and private government sectors, in order to achieve the desired goals of raising the rate of Emiratisation in the private sector, as the Cabinet approved a decision to raise the current Emiratisation rates in private sector establishments that include 50 employees or more by a rate of 2% annually for skilled jobs, and to achieve a total increase rate of 10% in 2026, in parallel with providing incentives to distinguished establishments that achieve qualitative achievements in training and employing citizens, which contributes to achieving the goals of the “Nafis” program.
