32 aircraft in the Emirates SkyCargo fleet by 2030


Emirates SkyCargo, the cargo arm of Emirates Airlines, revealed that it aims to operate 32 aircraft dedicated to cargo services in the year 2030 and increase the number of cargo stations to 72 destinations within its network, noting that the company is currently studying a request to purchase more aircraft dedicated to cargo. Emirates Air Cargo Senior Vice President for Planning said: Nadim Sultan said that the company will witness a major expansion plan during the coming period, as it looks to double the size of its fleet by the year 2026 and operate about 32 aircraft in the year 2030, noting that the company currently operates 11 Boeing F777 aircraft for cargo services, in addition to five aircraft. Sultan said on the sidelines of participation in the “Future Aviation Week” that the significant growth in the size of the fleet requires increasing the capacity, which currently reaches 2.2 million tons annually at Dubai and Al Maktoum International Airports, indicating that the company will implement during the coming period an expansion plan that includes 300 thousand tons. Additional capacity to reach 2.5 million tons annually by 2030.

He stated that the company is operating its flights dedicated to cargo services to 41 destinations globally during the current period, and aims to increase its network to 72 destinations in the year 2026.

He stated that Emirates SkyCargo is currently studying a request to purchase more cargo aircraft and a differentiation between Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft.

In line with Dubai’s D33 Economic Agenda, Emirates SkyCargo continues to work to strengthen Dubai’s position as the largest logistics center in the world, and expand its fleet and network to provide better services to global customers.
