a question

A question came from a reader in which she said:

I am currently in the process of divorcing my husband, with whom I have three children, and I used to pay for my children’s school fees from my own money. My question is: If I end the marital relationship, can I ask him to return to me the school fees I paid?

Answer

Legal Advisor Dr. Youssef Al-Sharif answers:

Educational expenses are one of the obligations of the guardian in custody, and therefore the questioner has the right to demand from her ex-husband any tuition fees or expenses that she paid unless there is an agreement otherwise, and she has proof that she paid these expenses from his money.
