Emirati athletes won four medals in the amateur category, as part of the World Championships for Amateurs and Professionals in Bodybuilding (Mr. and Ms. World), currently held at the Zayed Sports Complex, and organized by the Department of Industry and Economy in Fujairah, in cooperation with the Emirati and International Bodybuilding Federations. The title of champion of champions in bodybuilding was won by the Syrian Iyad Al-Zaeem.
The UAE medals were won by: Khaled Khalifa (Gold Physique), Ahmed Al Tamimi (Silver Physique), Abdul Rahman Al Khatri (Silver Classic Physique), and Khaled Obaid (Bronze Physique).
The professional competitions begin today with distinguished international participation, and the UAE is represented by three professionals: Mishari Ahmed Mohammed, Mohammed Farhan Al-Barout, and Juma Saleh Jumaa.
