In detail, the Abu Dhabi Center for Legal and Community Awareness “Responsibility”, affiliated with the Judicial Department, is implementing an extensive awareness campaign under the slogan “Your safety on the road is your responsibility!” “Follow the laws, and be responsible.” It will continue until the end of this January, and aims to enhance community awareness of the dangers of driving recklessly and recklessly, and endangering the lives of road users.

The department confirmed that the awareness campaign comes within the framework of implementing the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Presidential Court, and Head of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, to promote the dissemination of legal culture among members of society to maintain security and stability, noting that the campaign It aims to raise awareness of the serious consequences of irresponsible behavior when driving vehicles on the road, such as not adhering to set speeds, suddenly changing lanes, not following traffic rules, and parading in vehicles.

She pointed out that the campaign also highlights the dangers of these actions, the penalties and legal responsibility in this regard, as well as the consequences of this behavior in terms of serious traffic accidents, injuries and deaths, in addition to the material damage caused by damage to infrastructure and vehicles, so drivers must adhere to traffic rules and laws. The department explained that Article 399 of Federal Decree Law No. 31 of 2021 stipulates that he shall be punished by imprisonment and a fine or one of the following: The two penalties shall be for anyone who intentionally commits an act that would endanger people’s lives.
