Yesterday, the Dubai Multi Commodities Center announced an increase in the number of Turkish companies joining its business area by 11% over the past year on an annual basis, bringing the total number of Turkish companies registered in the center to 643 companies.
This came during the latest promotional tour within the series of “Existing for Trade” event, which was held in Istanbul in light of the booming trade and investment exchange scene between the UAE and Turkey, as the volume of bilateral trade between the two countries exceeded $20 billion (73.4 billion dirhams) during the year 2023. An increase of 107% compared to 2022, driven by the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement that the two countries signed in March 2023, so that Turkey today becomes the fastest growing partner on the list of the UAE’s top 10 international trading partners.
The center stated, in a statement, that the event was organized in partnership with Al Tamimi Consulting Company, where 150 Turkish business leaders were informed about the promising growth opportunities provided by the DMCC.
The event focused on the unique advantages that Dubai offers thanks to its strategic position and a leading destination that supports the business sector. It also highlighted the facilities the emirate provides for establishing companies and expanding businesses, starting from the Dubai Commodities Center, as it is one of the most interconnected business areas in the world.
The event focused in particular on the main vital sectors that support bilateral growth, such as: metals, gemstones, jewelry, energy, and “Web 3” technologies and services, as the Dubai Multi Commodities Center provides comprehensive and integrated work systems and infrastructure specifically designed to stimulate the growth of these sectors.
