84 billion dirhams in UAE spending on information and communications technology during 2024

The information and communications technology sector in the UAE has witnessed significant and rapid developments since the beginning of 2024, with the growing role of advanced technology with major impacts, most notably artificial intelligence technologies, fifth generation networks, cybersecurity, the Internet of space, and other technologies of data centers, cloud computing, self-driving cars, and the chip industry. And others, which was clearly evident in the huge technical race that Dubai witnessed at “GITEX Global 2024”, which recorded a global presence from more than 180 countries, according to the “Interregional Center for Strategic Analyzes”, based in Abu Dhabi.

The Interregional Center said: “The UAE continues to invest in areas such as cloud computing and cybersecurity, and it is expected that the volume of spending on information and communications technology (ICT) in the UAE during 2024 will reach 84 billion dirhams, equivalent to 23 billion dollars, while this falls within… “Investing within the country’s vision to enhance digital transformation and increase reliance on technologies such as artificial intelligence and smart cities, with a focus on advanced projects such as the fifth generation network (5G) and cloud services.”
