The Dubai Financial Services Authority announced yesterday that a standard increase of 31% in the number of licensed companies during the year 2024, where licenses were granted to 135 new entities, which raised the total number of licensed companies to more than 900 companies, and Dubai Financial Services indicated that, during the past year, licenses were given to 946 individuals, while 17 providers recorded institutional services within the category of non -financial business and financial professions that Accounting companies, legal consultations, and compliance consultations include, noting that the rise in the number of licenses granted, reflects the pivotal role played by the Dubai Financial Services Authority in supporting financial innovation, while ensuring compliance with international standards.
The achievements of the Dubai Financial Services Authority during 2024 also reflect its commitment to strengthening a sophisticated, safe and competitive financial market at the global level.
“The exceptional growth in the number of licensed companies during the year 2024, which raised the total registered entities to more than 900, reflects the established position of the Dubai Financial Services Authority, and its pivotal role in enhancing a strong and advanced financial environment,” said Fadel Al -Ali, Chairman of the Dubai Financial Services Authority.
He added: “This progress is the fruit of the authority’s commitment to enabling companies, whether emerging or firmly, from growth and prosperity within a strict and balanced regulatory framework,” stressing the authority to continue its efforts to support the expansion of the Dubai International Financial Center, and the consolidation of Dubai’s position is a leading global financial destination, which contributes to advancing economic development and enhancing the competitiveness of the UAE on the international scene.
