The Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training is organizing the “Skills Challenge” in 11 locations covering all the emirates of the country.
The event coincides with the center’s efforts to provide training and educational opportunities for young people, to develop their skills and prepare them for the future, as 900 male and female students compete in 20 skills, and the competitions continue until October 31st.
The winners will qualify to participate in the UAE Skills National Competition and represent the country in international competitions.
The conditions for participating in the Skills Challenge include that the participant must be a citizen, not be less than 16 years old, and not more than 21 years old (with the exception of the aircraft engine maintenance category, the age must not be more than 24 years old).
The center stated that the most prominent skills in the competition include aircraft maintenance and painting, automotive technology, lathing, computer-generated sculpture, and electrical connections.
