Dubai Customs wins global award for best government communication practices

Dubai Customs, represented by the Corporate Communications Department, won the International Best Practices Award (IBPC), “Excellence Level – Five Stars” in government communication, for the department’s achievements, initiatives, innovations and future vision. The department stated in a statement that this award comes in line with the Dubai government’s orientations to establish an environment that stimulates innovation, noting that the winners will be announced at a special honoring ceremony organized by the Research Center for Institutional Excellence in New Zealand, while 72 entities from 10 countries competed for this year’s award categories.

Director General of Dubai Customs, Dr. Abdullah Busnad, said that the award reflects the distinguished strategies developed by Dubai Customs, its efforts to establish a culture of creativity and innovation, and its keenness to enhance Dubai’s reputation through international awards that highlight the advancement of our customs experience, facilitation of doing business, development of services, and outstanding performance in communication and interaction with various relevant groups, whether locally or globally.

For his part, Director of Corporate Communications Department, Khalil Saqr Bin Gharib, said that Dubai Customs outperformed many international entities participating in the award competitions, which confirms that government communication at Dubai Customs has become a global model to be emulated in terms of innovative frameworks and methodologies.
