Emirates Airlines received its first Airbus A350 aircraft. The aircraft, licensed A6-EXA, is the first of 65 A350 aircraft that will be delivered to the carrier over the next few years, marking the first delivery of a new type of aircraft to join the Emirates fleet since 2008. Here are 7 facts about the aircraft, according to the carrier:

1. The Emirates A350 aircraft will have three travel classes: Business Class, Premium Economy Class, and Economy Class. The plane’s cabins are characterized by high ceilings and wider aisles, giving passengers of all classes a feeling of spaciousness and comfort. The plane has spacious cabins that can accommodate 312 passengers, as The new business class has 32 seats, premium economy class has 21 seats, and economy class has 259 seats.

2. The Airbus A350 aircraft is the third aircraft model to join the fleet of the largest international air carrier in the world, enhancing the capabilities of the carrier’s fleet of modern wide-body aircraft, which currently includes the iconic Airbus A380 aircraft and the very popular Boeing 777 aircraft.

3. The 65 new A350 aircraft will allow the carrier to serve a range of new markets, not only at the regional level, but also to operate long-haul flights of up to 15 hours flying time from Dubai.

4. Emirates will operate its new A350 aircraft to 9 other destinations: Edinburgh, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kuwait, Bahrain, Colombo, Lyon, Muscat, and Poland, with many other destinations to follow.

5. To enhance the feeling of luxury, Emirates Airlines has adopted the latest advanced designs in furnishing the cabins, including key decorations such as the illuminated Ghaf tree (the symbolic tree of the United Arab Emirates), and interior touches in the distinctive bronze and gold colors of Emirates Airlines.

6. The aircraft features a lighting system that contributes to providing more comfort and relaxation. It is also distinguished by the remarkable spaciousness of the galley area and restrooms. Storage spaces have also been improved, with the provision of divided pockets and larger overhead luggage lockers.

7. The Emirates A350 provides customers with a quieter cabin. Emirates customers can enjoy the quiet atmosphere and high comfort in the quietest twin-aisle cabin in the world.
