“Dubai Roads” announces the conditions for licensing trailers

Dubai Roads and Transport Authority announced the conditions for licensing semi -trailers, after it revealed, last week, its intention to start fining violators of individuals and entities starting from next month.

The director of the Vehicles Licensing Department at the Authority’s Licensing Corporation, Mohamed Abdel Karim Nemat, told «Emirates Today» that the trailers, known locally known as “Al -Qalasat”, must fulfill the standards of safe country, in order to achieve safety requirements in the vehicle, trailer and load transported during the country.

He continued that the drivers of transport vehicles of all kinds and vehicles with a trailer or semi -trailer must adhere to the right side of the road and not leave it except in the case of transgression, or when necessary, calling on individuals and parties the need to accelerate the completion of the examination, numbering and licensing in the service providing centers, which includes each Tammam Al -Kindi Center, registration of Jabal Ali, registration of men, and Al -Shirawi projects, to ensure that they are on the road without causing accidents, or the liberalization of violations against them.

The types of trailers and semi -trailers, which show the difference between the number of wheels, are multiple, as the trailer sits on wheels in its four sides, while the trailer is drawn with the help of wheels installed on both sides of its back side.

Trailers and trailers include mobile houses, cars, boats and jet Al -Ski, as well as horse carts, in addition to all the equipment and vehicles that are drove from vehicles and vehicles used in various uses, such as refrigerated foods, for example, used by major hotels or restaurants.

Nemat emphasized that the authority visited the technical workshops manufactured for small trailers, and provided them with the specifications and technical requirements that must be available, based on the international standards and technical standards approved, in addition to working to distribute brochures to the service providers accredited to the authority, to raise awareness of the importance of licensing semi -trailers.

It is noteworthy that the trailers are licensed and recorded every three years for individuals, and it is examined annually for companies to maintain their validity.
