Many violators of residency and entry visas have been able to regularize their situations and the situations of their children at the state level since the start of the deadline, stressing that it is a humanitarian initiative and an exceptional opportunity to correct their situations and reside in the country legally.

Regarding how to deal with those born in the country who violate the law, the authority stated that in the event of departure, a unified number is created and a departure permit with exemption from fines is issued by the executive departments, according to a request in the smart system based on a passport or travel document.

She explained that in the event of a change in status, fines will be exempted based on a request submitted to the smart system to confirm residency on the sponsorship of the head of the family or the employer and the guarantor, provided that the request is processed in the smart system by the executive departments.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security issued a decision granting a deadline to regularize the situations of violators of the entry and residence regulations of foreigners in the country, and began exempting violators from financial fines and administrative restrictions, starting from September 1, 2024, for a period of two months.

The authority stated through the website dedicated to the campaign to “settle the status of violators” that the exemptions granted to violators include five fines: administrative fines resulting from staying in the country illegally, establishment card fines, identity card fines, a violation of not providing the ministry with an employment contract, and a violation of not Providing the Ministry with a renewal of the employment contract.

The Federal Authority for Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security provides six services, including issuing an exit permit, renewing residency, issuing residency for a foreigner newly born in the country, issuing a new visa (for work or residency), adjusting the status on a valid visa, and issuing residency for violators of work and residency visas.

The application is submitted through the Authority’s electronic and smart channels and approved printing offices, without the need to visit the service delivery centers except upon notification only to complete the biometric fingerprint.
