The Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Claims Court ruled to reject a lawsuit filed by a woman against two young men who were accused of defrauding her by advertising an apartment rental on the social media platform (Facebook), and obtaining 65,550 dirhams from it.

In the details, a woman filed a lawsuit, in which she demanded that two young men, in solidarity between them, be obligated to pay her an amount of 65 thousand and 550 dirhams, and obliging them in solidarity to pay her an amount of 20 thousand dirhams as compensation for the damages she suffered, while obliging them to pay fees and expenses and in return for fees, noting that she I agreed with the defendants via Facebook and transferred the claim amount to them for the purpose of renting an apartment, but… The defendants did not respond after that and evaded, so it became clear that she had been a victim of fraud, and she attached a basis for her claim, which was scanned photos of bank transfers, social media messages, and the defendants’ identities.

For its part, the court clarified that the lawsuit papers are not sufficient to prove that it transferred the amounts to the two defendants, as the second defendant appeared and proved that the attached identity card was forged and did not belong to him, and the first defendant did not prove that the account number belonged to him, as the procedures established indicated. From the plaintiff and the referral order that the person has another name, and the court is not obligated to assign the opponent to provide evidence of his defense, or to draw his attention to the requirements of this defense, and it is sufficient for it to evaluate its ruling according to the documents presented to it, The plaintiff was responsible for proving her claim, which necessitated rejecting the application as it was, and the court ruled to reject the case as it was, and oblige the plaintiff to pay the fees and expenses.

. The court clarified that the lawsuit papers are not sufficient to prove that the plaintiff transferred the amounts to the defendants.
