Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi won the “Veterans” category title in the first round of the Emirates Jet Ski Marathon Championship, yesterday, on the breakwater in Abu Dhabi, while Sultan Al Hammadi was crowned champion of the “Standing” category, and Qatari Walid Al Shereshini won the “Seated Professionals” category.
At the conclusion of the competition, which witnessed the participation of 58 competitors from eight countries, the winners were crowned by the general supervisor of the race, Khalifa Al Suwaidi, and member of the organizing committee, Mansour Al Muhairi.
For his part, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, Salem Al Rumaithi, said in press statements: “The tournament this season carries a distinctive artistic value and reflects a remarkable development at all levels.” He added: “The start of the tournament witnessed strong competition in all categories, as the contestants demonstrated high skills and the ability to face challenges, and the struggle for the first places was intense, which reflects the serious preparations made by the contestants before the tournament.”
