His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received in Abu Dhabi, today, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Afghan Foreign Minister.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, stressing the UAE’s keenness and commitment to supporting the friendly Afghan people in order to achieve their aspirations for stability, development and prosperity, and to support the paths of development, advancement and progress in Afghanistan.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in a way that achieves the mutual interests of the two countries and enhances the prosperity of their peoples. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest.
They also reviewed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in several sectors, especially in the economic and development fields and supporting reconstruction and development in Afghanistan, to serve its development plans and goals, within the framework of the strong and historical relations that bring together the two friendly countries and peoples.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed bin Ali Al-Sayegh, Minister of State.
