Local retail markets have witnessed the expansion of sales outlets in creating unusual discounts and campaigns, in order to increase consumer attracting and stimulate sales.

Consumers told «Emirates Today» that a number of sales outlets launched, during the recent period, innovative and unconventional offers in the markets, such as preparing for the blessed month of Ramadan, and the start and end of the month, in addition to the start and end of the week, as part of the promotions of their offers across Boat, text messages and groups.

They considered this one of the positive practices and aspects that must be expanded during the coming periods, pointing out that most of the offers during the previous periods were related to specific occasions and seasons.

In detail, consumer Fadi Abdel -Majid said: “I offered the outlets of selling discounts under innovative names that were not familiar before, such as (Preparing for Ramadan), or (Beginning of the Month) and (End of the month offers), as well as special offers for the beginning and end of the week, Some stores have even put forward special offers in the middle of the week. Abdel -Majid stressed that innovation in these offers is one of the positive practices that belong to the benefits for families and shoppers in general.

For his part, the consumer Yasser Abdullah said that the sales outlets started offering discounts under unfamiliar names with the daily shopper, pointing out that most of the offers during the previous periods were related to specific occasions and seasons.

In the same context, consumer Salah Ammar said: “The familiar offers of discounts were related to the entry of specific seasons or occasions, such as the blessed month of Ramadan, or Eid Al -Fitr and Al -Adha, and national events, except that offering offers such as preparing for Ramadan, or the end and the beginning of the month, is considered a display other than Familiar in the markets, and one of the positive aspects that it is important to expand during the coming periods.

In the same context, the Director of Marketing and Relations at the “Sharjah Cooperative”, Faisal Khaled Al -Naboodah, said that “the expansion of offering discounts through innovative campaigns will keep pace with the various consumer needs, and are reflected in the benefits on them by providing many commodities at reasonable prices.”
