Al-Nasr coach, Dutchman Alfred Schroeder, revealed that he did not find any problem in announcing his departure from the club at the end of the current season, just two days before the team’s match against Sharjah in the ADNOC Professional Football League, in which the “Dean” won 2-1 in the 21st round.
Schroeder told «Emirates Today»: “All the players were aware of this news for weeks, and my departure from talking about leaving a professional trust in front of the (Dean) fans, and the club’s board of directors in order to determine its position.”
After a large period of lack of victories, specifically since he achieved the last victory over Arabism on January 31, Al -Nasr entered, in a difficult period during which he was subjected to a large number of defeats and the loss of points, before he succeeded in returning to the track of victories at the expense of Sharjah in the 21st round of the league in which he occupies eighth with 30 points.
On the Sharjah match, Schroeder said: “We succeeded in returning to the victories, the goal is clear from the start of the season, which is to be in the first six positions of the competition, and this is what we are now with with the team, and we have five games and the difference is not far from the rest of the competing teams in the midst of the table.”
On the influence of the team, in the absence of Ali Mabkhout, during the coming period to join the national service, he said: “Certainly the absence of the player in the team will affect, but we must deal with the current situation, and we find the alternative player in order to compensate for the absence of the team’s top scorer, and we have succeeded against Sharjah in formulating matters and achieving victory and winning three precious points.”
The coach refused to determine his destination in the coming period, stressing that he would receive a rest period with his family, after the end of the season.
