Al -Nasr player Youssef Al -Amiri confirmed that the “Dean” suffered the lack of success during the last period of the season, indicating that the team was providing good matches, but the results were not in his interest, stressing that the victory over Sharjah in the 21st round of the ADNOC Professional League will be a new and positive start for the coming period.

He told «Emirates Today»: “The team went through a difficult period between a decline in the level with some matches and lack of success, and we will search in the coming period to adhere to the instructions of the coach until we achieve an advanced position at the end of the competition.”

Al -Amiri added: “The news of the coach’s departure did not affect us as players. We have known that for weeks, but there are still matches and we will present them at the best level we have, and all the players have the desire to return and achieve positive results, and we must focus on the remaining matches during the current season.”

Youssef Al -Amiri played with Al -Nasr this season eight matches in the league, and Schroeder relied on him in a number of the Gulf Champions League matches, but he appeared in general in the basic formation of Al -Nasr during only one match in the league.
