Al-Sharjah surpasses Al-Hosn in the “Emirates Handball Cup”.


The Sharjah team launched the campaign to defend its title in the Emirates Handball Cup competition, by defeating its guest, Dibba Al-Hisn, with a score of 32-24, the day before yesterday, in the first round of the tournament.

The round was completed yesterday evening with the matches between Maliha and its guest Al-Wasl, and Al-Wahda’s arrival as a guest of Al-Nasr, provided that Shabab Al-Ahly will be absent from the first rounds, as the current season’s competition is limited to seven clubs, and they will play their matches in the second round.

Sharjah succeeded in imposing its advantage throughout the match, with its players ending the first half with an 11-goal lead and a score of 22-11, and during the second half they maintained a comfortable margin, ensuring victory with a score of 32-24.

The “Emirates Cup” is the first competition of the new season for the men’s stage, which also includes locally the “Federation Cup” and the General League, and the “UAE Super Cup”, during which the identity of the team qualifying for the “Emirati-Saudi Super Cup” and the “Emirati-Bahraini Super Cup” is determined. ».

The “Emirates Cup” competition is held with the participation of all categories of players (citizens, passport holders, children of female citizens, residents, those born in the country and foreign professionals), and its system requires that it be held in a one-stage league system, after which the identity of the champion is determined.
