The World Tennis League attracts world stars to Abu Dhabi


The World Tennis League, organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, in cooperation with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and Miral Company, revealed a distinguished list of players participating in its third edition, scheduled to be held at the Etihad Arena, from 19 to 22 December.

The list includes players who won Olympic medals, five Grand Slam champions, seven of the top 12 players in the men’s category, and six of the top 10 players in the women’s category, to provide “the biggest show on the court.”

The tournament includes the first participation of three prominent stars: Barbora Krjcikova, the 2024 Wimbledon champion (ranked ninth in the world), Jasmine Paolini, the women’s doubles gold medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympics (ranked fifth in the world), and Diana Schneider, the Olympic silver medalist (ranked 17th in the world). ).

Aryna Sabalenka (ranked second in the world) returns to the World Tennis League, after her recent victory in the US Open Tennis Championship, along with Iga Szvyontek (ranked first in the world), who won a bronze medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Daniil Medvedev (ranked fifth in the world) and Andrey Rublev (ranked sixth in the world), who were part of the “PPG Eagles” team that won the 2023 World Tennis League title, will also return.
