The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced that domestic workers over the age of 60 will be allowed to renew their employment contracts according to three conditions.

Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for Domestic Labor Affairs, Khalil Khoury, explained that the Ministry’s step comes within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to meet the needs of employers and families in the country who wish to keep those who work for them in the Domestic Labor professions for many years and believe that their giving has not been affected by their advanced age.

He said, “It is a condition for renewing the contracts of auxiliary workers who are over 60 years old to prove their health fitness to carry out the work assigned to them, in accordance with a certificate issued by official government agencies, in addition to the requirement that the employer commit to bear the entire actual financial costs of the worker’s medical treatment within the country, as well as the requirement of approval from the rest of the country.” The competent authorities ensure that the domestic worker continues to reside in the country.”

Khoury pointed out that renewing contracts for the targeted groups is done by following the procedures in place for renewing contracts, with the exception of the worker and seafarer categories, which require special approval from the ministry, in addition to the three conditions required to be met to renew work contracts for workers over 60 years old, given the nature of the work that is done. These two categories of workers do it.

It is noteworthy that the professions of auxiliary service workers include employee, sailor, guard, shepherd, sailor, trackman, falconer, laborer, housekeeper, cook, nanny, farmer, gardener, private trainer, private nurse, private teacher, private representative, private agricultural engineer. And a private driver.

The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for Domestic Labor Affairs explained, “New work permits for domestic workers are not issued to anyone over the age of 60 years except in cases of workers present in the country whose work contracts have expired, provided that no more than three months have passed, which are calculated from the date of the expiration of the contract until The assistant worker is bound by a new employment contract with another employer or another family other than the one he worked for previously.

It is noteworthy that the “Tadbeer” service centers provide all services related to domestic workers, as these services include opening a file for clients, obtaining, renewing and canceling work permits and contracts, receiving reports of interruption from work, withdrawing these reports, and completing all official work related to completing documents related to domestic workers, such as medical examination, health insurance, and a card. Identity and residence.

The services also include receiving the domestic workers upon their arrival in the country and providing housing for them before they move to their workplace, as well as directing and educating the domestic workers and training them to ensure balance in the work relationship between the two parties, through a specialized support center in each center and guiding customers to know the nationalities and professions available to recruit the domestic workers. .

The “Tadbeer” application in the Google Play and Apple Store stores provides customers with many services, especially those related to the packages provided by “Tadbeer” centers, which include (the traditional package) and provides the service of bringing in a helper from outside the country who resides with the employer during the two-year contract period. The (temporary package) provides the domestic worker registered on the “Tadbeer” service center to work for a contractual period during which the worker is not allowed to move as a resident domestic worker under the sponsorship of the employer.

The (trial package) provides the assistant worker registered with the center to work for a contractual period of six months after which he is allowed to be transferred as a resident assistant worker and registered in the employer’s file in the event of the approval of the concerned parties, while the (flexible package) provides the assistant worker registered with the “Tadbeer” service center to work with the (Tadbeer) system. Hour, day, week, or month).
