The hotel caught fire, to the extent that the family pronounced the two testimonies, in preparation for throwing themselves from the windows, before security dominated the situation, and they went out to the streets, to surround them again, and only a plane belonging to the Emirates Airlines that returned to them was saved Dubai the evening of yesterday.
Citizen Mohammed Mahmoud Habib tells the details of the 40 hours of “Emirates Today”, saying: “I went to Mumbai and my wife, and a friend of mine, in search of a treatment from a disease in her eye, and we stayed on the 20th floor in the (Oberoi) Hotel.” He continues: «At 9:30 pm last Wednesday, we went to the restaurant for dinner, and after about 10 minutes of leaving, we heard gunfire sounds, strong explosions, the ears were silent, and our bodies almost torn, although they were at the entrance to the hotel, We are on the 20th floor. ” He added: “We rushed to panic outside the room, to find the elevators parked, and the hotel management told us through the interior loudspeakers, that the hotel is subjected to terrorist act, and they asked us to stay in the rooms.”
Habib continues, “This voice message increased our panic, and my wife collapsed, fearing that I would be subjected to satisfactory complications, as I am sick with the heart.” He added: “My friend, who used to live in a neighboring room, came to my room, and we stayed in a state of anxiety.
The hours went, and the sounds of fire and explosions continued, and they were approaching from us, and we learned that the terrorists reached the ninth floor, and killed the residents of the rooms.
He explained, “With the dawn hours, the television transmission stopped in the room, so our sons and siblings in Dubai were calling us by phone, and they are in a state of panic, and they told us what news they hear on satellite channels.” What we live in. ”
At this moment, Habib says: “We felt that death is approaching from us, because the fire is above us, and the terrorists climb the floors to kill those in them, and the voices of the bullets do not stop, so we gave our command to God, and we decided to throw ourselves from the windows to survive if the fire approaches.” He continues: “After hours of dismay, we learned that the fire was in the second building of the hotel, and the sounds of the shots began to decrease, so that we would have hoped to survive.” He added, “We called Indian security from our mobile phones, which asked us to stay in the room.” He continues: “We stayed like this until the day before yesterday, that is, for 36 hours, we kept away from the windows and the door, for fear of new explosions, and we lived on an apple, a small biscuit package, and ran out of water.”
He adds: “The time of noon came to us, soldiers equipped with weapons, and we went to the reception arena, to discover that they were destroyed and turned into a blood pool, and we saw the restaurant in which we had dinner, and the bodies were scattered,” adding, “We came down in a nearby tunnel to which the residents of the hotel were transferred, Then a car came from the Emirati consulate to take us to the airport.
At the airport, the Emirati family learned that a plane affiliated with Emirates Airlines will take off in the evening, to return on Friday evening, and their family receives them with joy and crying.
The son, Muhammad Mahmoud Habib, describes the moment his father and his mother returned, saying: “The parents have returned to life after death 40 hours.”
