The national Judo national team, Bashirat Khardi, won the first Asian silver medal for the Emirates in the Asia Judo Championship for adults, which concludes its competitions tomorrow at the Conference and Exhibition Center in the Thai capital, Bangkok, with the participation of 295 players and players from 30 countries.
Becharat’s silver came in a weighing competition under 52 kg, after a distinguished performance that led her to the final, before losing to the first seeded Japanese Fishero Kokuru 0-2.
The coronation ceremony, a member of the National Olympic Committee, was witnessed by the Secretary General of the Judo Federation, the treasurer of the International Federation and the head of the mission, Dr. Nasser Al -Tamimi, and a member of the National Olympic Committee, Secretary of the AFC Fund for Judo, Amal Buschalakh.
The tournament also witnessed the qualification of the player Mohamed Yazbek, to the final round in a weight under 73 kg, after his victory over the players of Macau, Tajikistan and India, and Talal Shafiili qualified for the same final after his victory over the players of China and Uzbekistan.
The player, Karim Abdel Latif, bid farewell to the competitions after losing to the Chinese champion, while Omar Maarouf exceeded the preliminary round in a weight under 81 kg, before losing in the second round against the Kazakhstan player.
